I just realised how long I have known you - more than half our lives.
You are the only person from high school who I still have any contact with. And it takes a blog to do it!
Yes, it is scary, because the blog is our only contact now. I hope that can be adjusted in the near future. Be sure to let me know if you are coming down to the big smoke at some stage so we can catch up in person.
There is one other person from those years in Immanuel that I still have close contact with. We have always continued the friendship, but he is now my wife's pastor at Box Hill.

The accent is pure South Australian. It is quite distinct from the Victorian accent (Melbourne is in Victoria). Last night the children were talking about their "chance to go to a dance"--using the nasty short hard "a's" of the local lingo rather than the more civilised and pure long "ah" of the Queen's English as we speak it in Australia. Lucky for me I married a Victorian woman who was "taught how to speak proper", and she instantly corrected them.
