Coo-ees from the Cloister provide a great service to the universal church with their very own own "Fr. John Dear Watch".

After reading the parish bulletin from Mass last night, we here at "Sentire Cum Ecclesia" have decided to add to the "Watch List" of those who follow the motto "Sentire Anti Ecclesia" by starting a "Bishop Geoffrey Robinson Watch".

A priest of the archdiocese here in Melbourne -- who belongs neither to the "right" nor the "left" and who I would have thought would have had some sympathy for Robinson's position, made the comment that most of the clergy regard Robinson's book as devoid of theological merit. It was, he thought, a cry from the heart rather than a work of scholarship. He said "Robinson always said he was working on a book and most are of the opinion that having written this book to deal with his pain, he should have thrown it away and started again from scratch on something more substantial."
