Spengler and First Things?

No one knows who Spengler is, of course, but it is no secret that he comes from the camp generally (and dismissively) called the "Neo-Cons" and that his religious sympathies are vaguely for Catholicism and particularly for Pope Benedict.

It should not come as a surprise, therefore, that he sees eye to eye with Fr Richard John Neuhaus' journal "First Things". It does come as a surprise, however, to see him (or indeed, perhaps "her", who knows?) blogging on the First Things Blog under his (her?) Asia Times pseudonym. Declaring your hand, rather, eh what ol' boy (girl)?

Or is Spengler perhaps an FT Editorial Board member in real life?
