Jewish stories

I am about to start teaching a course at Anima Education on Monday night on Jewish stories. Actually, its a course on the Bible called "A Walk through the Scriptures", but it reminded me of something that a Jewish friend of mine said recently about his rabbi.

When asked if his stories were true, the rabbi said, "I only tell three types of stories: true stories, really true stories, and really, REALLY true stories."

My sort of guy.

I don't wanna sound like as if I'm in any way whatsoever taking any kind of advantage of You, (not that I'm not, but for the sake of appearences) but, err, how about bloggin' them?

:-)

You're doing it again, Lucian. Stop it. With the non-sequiturs, I mean. What do you mean by "them"?

... the Jewish stories ... I would really like it if You would blog'em (if it's ok with You). I mean, I undestand if You don't have the time or will, it's ok, I didn't mean to upset You, or anything ...

No, no. Not upset. Just confused. I sometimes get upset when I'm confused, but not this time. I'm very understanding. Really.

RE: the Jewish stories, I haven't heard any by this particular Rabbi (as I said, the story is one told by my Jewish friend, not the Rabbi himself). But I do, from time to time, here some really good ones, so yes, I will blog them when I do.

I can tell you a rather neat Jewish joke, though:

"Jesus Saves.
But Moses Invests."

The joke is very good. Thank You. I'm very glad I didn't upset You. Please forgive me if I did.

Lucian.
