Schütz cantoring on YouTube?
Lucian discovered this. No. It is NOT me. Fraser Pearce thinks it could be though...
To think with the Church.... In "the Spirit of Benny 16". Catholic Theology, Ecumenism, Interfaith relations, History, Liturgy, Philosophy and whatever topics are hot in the ecclesiastical world! Please comment - with gentleness and reverence! Our motto on this blog is: "Maior autem his est spes"

Is that German &/or Yiddish he's mixing with English?
Yep. [I've found the video completely coincidentally; but the guy who does the singing and joking is the same guy who plays in the 1937 "The Cantor's Son" movie, along with Moishe Oisher, the famous Bessarabian-born Jewish cantor ... of whom none of You gents over here has ever heard about :p , but that's OK :-) ].
Not only Moishe Oisher, but the great Baal Shem Tov also, is connected with this particular part of the world which we call Bessarabia.
The Jewish national anthem, >HaTikva<, is also played on the melody of a Romanian doina, called 'Chart With Ozen'.
That again ... it could be Schuetz ;)) ... who knows!? >:)
