Why can't we all just be nice to each other for a change?

To think with the Church.... In "the Spirit of Benny 16". Catholic Theology, Ecumenism, Interfaith relations, History, Liturgy, Philosophy and whatever topics are hot in the ecclesiastical world! Please comment - with gentleness and reverence! Our motto on this blog is: "Maior autem his est spes"

Aspinall is away with the pixies. He supports and helps implement non-Apostolic teachings and then has the temerity to tell orthodox Anglicans to simply accept his heterodoxy in the name of unity. Aspinall, as a key part of the problem, cannot expect to be part of the solution. And if Anglicanism disintegrates he has to accept that bears the major responsibility. Hypocrites beware - Christ wants the Church to experience unity, but it can only be unity around His Word. And the Word provides no basis for the ordination of women or for the toleration of immoral sexual behaviour. The ordination of practising homosexual men and lesbian women dishonours Christ our Saviour.
I hope the irony of the parallel with the political story wasn't lost on you, Fr J.?
We're not called to be "nice."
Nice people go to hell-if tey know not Christ ,whilst sinners go to heaven -if they repent and accept Him
