A true candidate for "that title"?

Warning to all American Catholics: That arch-pseudo-apostle from the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit is heading to the shores of "God's Own Country" to bring them his own "Gospel according to Robinson".

While we Australians and Americans have been busy arguing in a post below about the application of a particular title to the papacy, maybe the real mackoy has been busy slipping under our radar?

Bishop Robinson the Anti-Christ?

Oh hell no.

One wonders how much of the forthrightness on the recent papal visit here would have been forthcoming at all were it not for voices like his -- along with the millions of dollars it has cost the "Body of Christ" in lawsuits.

Even his resignation couldn't be handled honestly. Ill health. Well, I guess in a sorporate culture that keeps its top officers celibate you can't say they wanted to spend more time with their family.

Actually, I rather like the guy. Not to be confused with agree with. I mean, Judas H Priest, I like you too.

Welcome to our shores, Bishop Robinson!

Actually, my life -- and that of the vast majority of those who live here -- will be as unchanged by his visit as they were by that other foreign Catholic bishop who visited just recently.

Except it will cost the American taxpayers a hell of a lot less.

Sorry you missed an opportunity to hear the gospel proclaimed, Terry. Personally, I'll listen to anyone who preaches it.
